Emily was diagnosed with Stage III triple positive breast cancer at 27-years-old during the summer after finishing law school. Since being called to the Bar, Emily has made a career shift to supporting young people diagnosed with cancer. At Pink Pearl Canada, Emily is focused on supporting our community, specifically through the Ambassador Program and the Peer Support Program. Along with working at Pink Pearl Canada, she is the Community Outreach & Project Manager at WILDFIRE magazine, is the Director of Patient Teachers and Facilitator for the Patient as Teacher program and is on the board of AYA CAN – Canadian Cancer Advocacy. Emily lives in Toronto, with her husband and two Siamese cats.
