“I am a strong 24 year old woman with an identical twin sister. I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia at 23. I have undergone chemotherapy, radiation and a stem cell transplant. Being a part of Pink Pearl allows me to connect with other young women facing cancer. It’s refreshing to share personal stories with others who can relate and understand in a way that family and friends can’t.
My inspiration from the beginning has been my Grandpa and my Aunt, both are cancer survivors. I am also inspired everyday by 2 young women I met through the Juravinski hospital. Since I have met them, it’s hard not to think positively everyday!”
